HELLO. My name is Beth Katie Heaton.

I was born on Sunday 2 May at 05.55 at the Princess Anne Hospital in Southampton, England and weighed 8 pounds and 1 ounce. I was diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia a few weeks after I was born. To learn more about my illness, go back to Kids Health.

I had a bone marrow transplant in December 1999 at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. I am currently a patient under Great Ormond Street (David Webb and Paul Vase) and Southampton General Hospital (Martin Radford). My blood counts are constantly measured and I am given plenty of drugs to stop my new marrow rejecting me.
